Join Our Team as a Fields Services Officer!
We are looking for a proactive Field Services Officer to join our technical team. This role bridges the gap between network administration and hands-on physical infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Provide remote and onsite support to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Administer, configure, and stage network devices including firewalls, routers, switches, and access points.
- Conduct regular client visits, site surveys, and detailed wireless surveys to implement IT solutions.
- Manage physical infrastructure: terminate/test cables, rack and stack equipment, and assemble PCs.
- Perform daily system checks and generate weekly/monthly client performance reports.
- Own the lifecycle of service desk calls, from logging and troubleshooting to documentation and reporting.
- Escalate complex issues and maintenance breaches while updating leadership on case progress.
- Maintain updated client configuration files, hardware logs, and asset inventories.
- Mentor the team in specialized technologies and provide equipment training to end-users.
- Communicate sensitive technical information tactfully and address service setbacks immediately.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or an equivalent field.
- 2–3 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Proficiency in both French and English.
- Strong knowledge of systems, networking, and communications infrastructure.
- Familiarity with RMM and PSA tools.
- Resourceful with strong research, analytical, and technical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent service.
- Dynamic and creative with a strong spirit of initiative.
- Committed to learning and willing to pursue professional certification programs.
- Flexible schedule with the capacity to work a 24/7 shift rotation (evenings, overnights, and weekends).
- Ability to work across various client environments, including on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
